My first thought was, I am going to rest, renew my energy, and charge batteries. But…there was everything except resting: amazing parties, great sightseeing, interesting academic part. I enjoyed in every minute of the workshop.
What to say about Athens? A huge city with a lot of interesting sights. During the day we were mostly hanging around the old, crowded parts in the center. There were opportunities for shopping. And, yes, we visited the Acropolis! And took a plenty of photos there! Beside that, we were on a beach one day, first doing some society-friendly works J and then swimming, sleeping or whatever. The nights were various: Every night different place for party. And the parties were amazing – a great combination of traditional Greek and modern International. Karaoke party was the one to remember, as everyone sang everything and it sound great.
As this was a workshop, there were also some lectures.
And to point out the sixth day. It was a standard eestec day, starting with lectures ang hanging around the university, then sightseeing and in the evenig party – the scenario was well known, bu this time it occured in Patras, a city on the Pelloponessis peninsula. An interesting city with a promising eestec LC. The impressions say it's fantastic to have Patras in eestec community, as both the city and the group of hosts adapt well in eestec, and the city can offer much much more than one day of fun and good time.
Finally, the last day in Athens was relxing after all the mess and rush we were in during the previous days and specially nights. The organizers arranged us to stay at their homes (with Yorgos getting the best possible group of participants (well, it wasn't boring with us, but definitely not relaxing too)). And tomorrow it was time to say goodbyes until some possible new meetings...
At the end, huge thanks to the kind and friendly organizers. The event was unforgettable, all the praises for the event. The participants were great. The only remark I had to the workshop was its name, because it was a kind of deception: the workshop was everything except renewing the energy, as i got out of every kind of energy I had before it (and so probably did the others, too). The best proof that speaks in favour of this might be comparing our BEFORE and AFTER photos.... But no one will mind – energy is renewable!
